We have an urgent plea for help from a young laborer from Thiruvalla, Kerala, who’s hospitalized right now needing corrective surgery for his fractured legs. His name is Saji, a 40 year old daily wage worker at a hotel in Edathua. He had an accident at work that was caused by a broken down lift which crushed him to the ground under the food trays.
Saji was seriously injured with broken legs and spinal cord. He was taken to Pushpagiri Medical College, Thiruvalla and immediate surgery was done to fix his back and one of the broken legs. His other leg also requires surgery which needs to be scheduled in a few days.
Saji is single, lives with his 80-year-old mother, and they do not have any savings or income to pay for the hospital expense. The family had to borrow money to pay for the emergency surgeries which was over 4 lakhs ($6000 USD). Another 4 lakh is needed immediately for the continuation of treatment. This individual is counting on your generosity to come up with the required funds before it’s too late. The Hospital will not continue the treatment unless the estimate is paid in advance.
